Mutagensis, Transformation, Innate Immunity and Microtubules

I am back again! Hehe. Well, internet connection is still NOT up yet in our apartment... That is quite frustrating, especially when I want to start researching for my assignments, to download and read all those journals. Grrrr.. Classes started on the 2nd of March, but it is only recently that I am getting the hang of the lectures, tutorials (Called contact classes here) and practicals. But studying at nights are still frustrated by the lack of internet access, sometimes when I want to search for the meaning for certain terms that I cannot remember (Have not touched these stuff in like 5 years...), I couldn't because we don't have the internet connection yet!

I wanted to post some photos, but when was screening through some of the photos I have of the university, I realised that I only have 2 or 3, and they are all of the same building... I shall take more photos of say the lecture theatres and et cetera to show you guys. ;)


Well, let's introduce some of the people I meet regularly! First on the right is Eby, followed by Muru. The two of them plus me share the same apartment with a room each. The guy on the left on the left is Malcolm, we got to know him through another friend and he come over to our apartment quite regularly for dinner. The four of us study in the same courses and we would usually meet up.


This is a photo of my room. We drew lots, and I got the room with the double sized bed and a toilet, sort of like a master's bedroom. Hehe


My desk with my notebook! Well, it looks something like this, minus the cards on the wall... The tape just couldn't stick the cards up, they keep on dropping! So now the cards are sitting on one corner of my desk.


We were deciding on the colour for the cutleries, I was voting for blue one! But as you can see, I was out voted 2-1.


This photo was taken on Wednesday, 11 February I think. The impressive looking building in the background is Forgan Smith Building, one of the more prominent buildings in the Saint Lucia campus of the University of Queensland.


Citycat! This is a ferry service that runs through Brisbane, as there is a river that cuts through Brisbane (No, it is not similar to the Singapore river), it is quite convenient to use the Citycat to travel, especially when we are going to the CBD area.

Well, these are the photos I'll blog for now. Still have some other photos from other places that I've been to so far in Australia, but will slowly blog them. ;) I realise that I am lacking in some photos as well! Will go on taking more photos so that more of my life here can be shown in visual instead of just words. ;) Okay, I shall blog another day. Am actually in the library at 11.15pm (Brisbane time), the library closes at 12 midnight on weekdays! So cool right? Good thing I stay nearby. All right guys, till another time then!
